Store Your Information project

After finalizing the functional specification for perfume website I showed it to Mr. Tridib in the class and when he saw the designing he liked it and said it’s excellent, in addition he did some changes. After doing the changes I send it my group members by email and now we will help our colleague Ameera who is working on php to stat designing the website in Dreamweaver and extracting the data from XAMPP and place it in the website.

Functional Specification

The functional specification of our perfume company website is almost done also our colleague Fatma who is working with MySQL has finished working with queries. I will show my group the design and discuss with them.

During this week I visited some websites describing the functional specification and look up for some models. In addition, I started designing our website interface using Visio and next week I show it to my colleague Ameera who is working on PHP part and see if she will able to make it.

This week in the class I and my colleague Mona who is working on Functional specification like me started designing the website layout using Visio and at the end of the class we showed Mr. Tridib our work and he discussed the work with us but he was dissatisfied with the designing because he said that we have to be more specific in designing the web site and we have to check with the our group member who is working with PHP and check if they will able to make. The project is very difficult.

This week our teacher explained to us in the class in details about store your information project and about XAMPP program why and how to use it .He also meet with each group and explained to them about their parts and what is required from each of them to do. The class was useful for everyone because we understood what we have to do. My part in the project is about functional specification and I think I understand what is about but I didn’t know how to begin but now it’s more clear for me.

Store Your Information project week 9

This week I did researches to know more about XAMPP, MYSQL and PHP and I found some websites provide step-by-step tutorial explaining the process to create database in XAMPP. I created a test database by following one of this tutorials but I did not recognize what I am doing. I will do more researche and share the information with my group members.

Store Your Information project

This is a group project and our objective is to use PHP or MySQL to make the perfume company database to have a web-based front end and an administrative back end. This project is divided into 4 parts, but each of the group members have to know about all the parts. Last week in the class we downloaded XAMPP program and than I did some online research about functional specification and what I understand form functional specification that we have to plan before starting our project and write in details about the input and the output of the project. I will do more research about it and I will discuss it with my group in our weekly meeting.
